Considérant en fait et en droit :
que A.________ a déposé un recours en matière de droit public auprès du Tribunal fédéral contre l'arrêt rendu le 12 octobre 2021 par la Cour de justice du canton de Genève en matière d'interdiction d'entrée sur l'ensemble du territoire genevois,
que, par courrier du 6 janvier 2022, agissant par son mandataire, l'intéressé a déclaré retirer son recours et révoquer le mandat de ce dernier,
qu'en application de l' art. 32 al. 2 LTF , il convient d'en prendre acte et de rayer la cause du rôle sans frais ni dépens.
Par ces motifs, la Présidente ordonne :
1. La cause 2C_912/2021 est rayée du rôle par suite de retrait du recours.
2. Il n'est pas perçu de frais de justice ni alloué de dépens.
3. La présente ordonnance est communiquée au recourant, au Commissaire de police et à la Cour de justice de la République et canton de Genève, Chambre administrative, 1ère section, ainsi qu'au Secrétariat d'Etat aux migrations.
