In this case, an individual filed a complaint with the Swiss Federal Tribunal regarding the federal vote on November 25, 2018, about the federal popular initiative "Swiss law instead of foreign judges" (Self-determination Initiative). The complainant alleged that the free formation of public opinion was compromised due to the interference of two non-governmental organizations during the campaign leading up to the vote. They requested the suspension of the vote's results and the initiation of an investigation. However, since the Federal Tribunal is not a complaints authority but a court of appeal, and the complaint should have been addressed to the cantonal government, the complaint was deemed inadmissible and was forwarded to the cantonal council.

Arrêt du 3 décembre 2018

Ire Cour de droit public

Composition

M. le Juge fédéral Merkli, Président.

Greffier : M. Parmelin.

Participant à la procédure

Tanguy Rudaz, ruelle de Panteillon 3, 1983 Evolène,

recourant,

Objet

66 al. 1, 2

ème phrase, LTF);

par ces motifs, le Président prononce :
