A company, currently in liquidation, contested an order by the Public Prosecutor of the Republic and Canton of Geneva to seize various sums of money. The company's appeal to the Chamber of Penal Appeals of the Court of Justice of the Republic and Canton of Geneva was unsuccessful, and the seizure order was upheld in February 2019. Subsequently, the company lodged a criminal appeal with the Swiss Federal Tribunal in March 2019 and was requested to provide an advance payment for the court costs. Citing a lack of financial means, the company decided to withdraw its appeal at the end of April 2019, leading to the case being dismissed without the imposition of court fees.
